B The Method is, by far, my favorite workout! Lia has the freshest spin on traditional Pilates using a Pilates ball in a million and one ways. Definitely not as easy as it looks, I always leave her classes feeling extra strong in my core, upper body, and glutes. In April 2020, all in-person workout studios were closed because of the pandemic, so I went online to cobble together a new routine. I came across B The Method and I never looked back. Lia's program shifted my relationship with fitness - I used to run from studio to studio, pushing myself to the point I'd be exhausted for the rest of the day. With B The Method, I crave my daily workout and I feel energized afterward. I've gained new insights into my body and deepened my mind-body connection, as well as becoming more mindful of how my body feels. The Method is not just exercise - it's a lifestyle to me. Lia, herself, is a calming, experienced, and genuine guide and I truly feel part of a community even though I've only done her workouts remotely! I was pregnant from Dec 2020- Sept 2021, and B The Method was such an invigorating and reliable workout during that period as well. These characteristics pair well with the challenging workouts I hesitate to call them “workouts” because they are that and so much more as you learn to not beat yourself up, and instead to appreciate what your body can do for you. Lia has transformed the way I think about exercise. After years of mindlessly killing myself with cardio I now feel more connected in my mind and body. Cueing is an essential part of B The Method for proper form and getting the most out of each exercise. This helps create a mind-body connection that over time enhances the quality of the movement and allows me to connect more deeply to all layers of muscle. As I have progressed, I have found that it becomes more challenging in a positive way as you are recruiting more muscle. I also love how this method is not focused on aesthetics. It’s all about moving and feeling good and being the best versions of ourselves. She has truly made a difference for me in how I feel physically and mentally which has improved my quality of life.

I joined B The Method during quarantine because I no longer had access to my favorite yoga studios and craved movement that was impactful both physically and mentally. I immediately was drawn to BTM because of Lia’s calming personality and expert-level cueuing/corrections. Every time I do BTM I feel as if I’m transported into the room with Lia and the rest of the community which was so important to me as a person who used to participate in 5-6 group classes every week before the pandemic. Oh my gosh, my favorite class! This is a hard one because I feel like every new class becomes a favorite! I have been doing BTM daily for over 2 years now, starting April 2020. BTM has been the only strength/flexibility/stability workout I’ve ever done that has kept me engaged and challenged for so long. Physically, I am the strongest I have ever been in my life (I turn 37 in September). I've always struggled with negative body image and had disordered eating and exercising habits in my 20s. Since childhood I have struggled with mobility and flexibility issues and have never been able to touch my toes. Doctors always told me I had short Achilles from tip toe walking and when physical therapy didn't work they suggested Botox in the muscles or surgery. I never followed up, just continued to do my stretches and avoided sports like tennis for fear of rupturing my Achilles. I had given up even attempting to touch my toes years ago but started doing B the Method every day, even if I only had time for 15 minutes and the other morning noticed I could not only touch my toes but place my palms flat on the ground! I spent my whole life thinking the problem was my calves and ankles but through Lia’s functional routines, specifically the emphasis on back articulation, I realized the problem was limited mobility in my back. I just wish I had found her sooner! The most important thing I am grateful for is the connection I now feel with my own body. I am always learning something new and finding strength I didn’t know I had every time I open the app.

There isn’t enough positive that I can say about Lia and this unique, transformational, energizing and motivating program. I started these classes at the start of Covid when she offered them on Instagram- I found myself always look forward to the 60, 45, 30 or even 15 minute classes. I have been a member of B The Method for two years now and wanted to let you know how much finding your method has impacted me. I live with a genetic connective tissue condition and have had 8 orthopaedic surgeries as a result. Exercising regularly and being healthy has always been something I coveted but found elusive. Everything I tried resulted in injury. I've done it all... weight training, hot yoga, HIIT, cardio, water aerobics, cycling, the list goes on. Nothing clicked. Lia's B The Method has quite literally been a lifesaver to me. A year ago I was in a serious mountain biking accident (broken pelvis and sacrum, 7 broken ribs, punctured lung, shattered cheekbone and concussion). My Drs were amazed that at my age of 65 I required no surgery, and was back to walking 10 miles a day in five months.

I credit Lia's classes for not only strengthening my bones and lengthening my muscles prior to the accident, but they've been essential to my recovery. I LOVE the fact that she offers a wide variety of classes, depending on how much time I have , or what my body needs that day. I especially like when her classes are in nature...Hawaii, California, or Costa Rica. And it may be no big deal for some people but for me this is HUGE...Lia's calm and lovely personality really sets the tone for my day. I don't like instructors who are too peppy or frenetic or are yelling at me to WORK HARDER.

Lia not only explains and shows how to position yourself, she gives you alternatives and encourages you to do what feels best. I may not hit the mountain trails on my bike any time soon, but I can take comfort in the fact that with Lia's B The Method I'm feeling stronger every day.
